Ulta Super Stretch Fiber Mascara Review

*Let me start this review by saying that I am very picky when it comes to mascara. If it doesn't do exactly what I'd like it to do then it's garbage in my book. That being said, this mascara might be perfect for your needs!*
I like my mascaras to be smooth & creamy, I hate thick or dry formulas. Ulta's Super Stretch was perfect. It  applied smooth & easily and dried quickly. Just like the product description on their site, it did not smudge or flake throughout the day.

The brush was large enough for my liking, but I wish it had some tiny bristles on the tip for those hard to get lashes in the corners of your eyes.

Ulta Super Stretch Fiber Mascara in Jet Black

I prefer mascaras that lengthen and add a ton of volume. I'm talking the fake eyelashes you see in the mascara commercials kinda volume. According to Ulta's website Super Stretch will add volume, lengthen, and define lashes. Although it lengthened & curled my lashes, it did not provide enough volume and left me with the spider leg lashes that I hate oh so much! All in all Ulta's Super Stretch Fiber Mascara is good, I just wish it added more volume.

What's your favorite mascara?!

Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream & Lock Luster Argan Oil Treatment Reviews

Yay, my first beauty review! :)

I was blessed with naturally wavy/curly hair. More often than not my locks look dull & frizzy. And left unstyled, my curls seem to fall apart as the day goes on until my hair just looks absolutely horrible! I've tried multiple curl defining creams, both drugstore and high-end brands, all of which left my hair either crunchy or greasy. Ew!
Given up on my natural curls, for the last 5 years I've done nothing but heat style or just pull my hair back into a ponytail whenever I'm in a rush. My locks are definitely showing the damage, so I went on a hunt to find a good curl defining cream. I wanted something I could scrunch into my hair after my shower & let air dry, to save both time & further heat damage to my hair. After reading thousands of reviews on hundreds of products I decided to go with Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream. There were some mixed reviews, but it seemed to me that most of the negative ones came from people who used too much product in their hair. Any product will make your hair greasy if you use it on your roots or just too much of it!!
I had originally planned to buy Kinky Moves somewhere local, but it was out of stock at literally every store in my area that carried Not Your Mother's. I knew it had to be good. I'm impatient as hell, so instead of waiting for it to be restocked in stores I just went online that night & purchased it from Ulta. They were having a BOGO sale on the Not Your Mother's brand, so I grabbed their Lock Luster Oil Treatment for 50% off. It claimed to repair damage & be a deep moisturizer, and my hair is in serious need of some TLC, so I was all about that.

I showered and then followed the instructions on each product. After towel drying my hair I put a dime sized amount of Lock Luster in my palms and worked it into my hair, focusing on the ends & avoiding the roots. I then put a nickel sized amount of Kinky Moves into my palm & scrunched into my hair, avoiding the roots once again. I allowed my hair to air dry, rather than drying with a diffuser as suggested on the back of Kinky Moves

Here's the results:

As you can see my locks look completely different & I love it!! My frizzy loose waves were turned into frizz-free beautiful curls. Lock Luster made my hair noticeably softer & my once visibly white split ends (it's been almost 3 months since my last trim, I know, shame on me!) are no longer visible. Not to mention the unbelievable shine it added! Kinky Moves didn't leave my hair feeling greasy or crunchy like the products I've wasted money on before. I can't wait to use it with a diffuser like it suggests.
Both products smell amazing, which is a must in my book. I won't put anything in my hair that smells bad, no matter the results haha! Kinky Moves has a grape & jasmine scent that smells lovely, but I can see where it could be overpowering to some noses. Lock Luster smells like almond and coconut to me. Love em both!
Needless to say I'm very happy with my purchase :)

Have you tried these products? What's your favorite product from Not Your Mother's? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
